Kassié Doré, who passed away in September 2016, was Prof. Matsuzawa's first local guide for the Seringbara area, from 1999. He was one of best 'professors of the forest', knowledgeable about many aspects of this region. He, and the essential lessons he taught us, will be in our hearts forever.
